Have you seen BRIT + CO's video for their Born Creative campaign? It's so inspiring! And I think it really captures how much adults have lost their ability to be creative (you can watch it after the jump).
I've been thinking about this lately, creativity.
I love being creative and, since I've moved to Korea, my career swap from creatives to teaching (English) narrowed down my creative opportunities quite a bit. Two years teaching English to non-native speakers really made me see just how much I crave creativity, and how much I thrive (and feel happier!) when I am being creative.
Since we recently moved and I'm not working (and now 8 months pregnant!), I've been in full nesting mode these last few months. Which has lead me to many hours scouring Pinterest for DIY inspiration for our home (okay, mostly for our baby's room ;)).
...which leads to projects like this wind chime / mobile :)

All this talk about creativity makes me think of a few amazing TED talks. Have you seen this wildly popular one by Sir Ken Robinson on how schools kill creativity? It's amazingly eye-opening and talks about how all children are born creative, but most of us lose most of it because it isn't cultivated or prized.
And I showed this one (and did the fun activities!) by Tim Brown on creativity and play with one of my English classes, and they loved it. Maybe we'll do the draw-your-neighbor in 30 seconds activity at our Christmas trimming party this year :)
I'm curious, do you view yourself as creative person? What were you like when you were a kid? Do you agree with BRIT + CO's Born Creative campaign? I'd love to hear about your creative sides...or the ones you wish you had more of ;)

PS. Here's another great TED Talk by Elizabeth Gilbert on our elusive creative genius. Plus, 5 tips for to get those creative juices flowing, secrets for staying creative daily, and 11 creativity-engaging apps.
